Introduction :
A Duplication Report is used to analyze people who watched more than one Channel. For example, you might want to know how many people watched MBC 1 and Saudi TV 1.
Duplication Report Overview :-
The Duplication Report provides data types specifically for this purpose, and they are:
- Duplication Cume Reach
- Duplication Cume Reach %
- Exclusive Cume Reach
- Exclusive Cume Reach %
The Duplication Report can also be used to create Exclusive Reports to analyze people who watched a Channel exclusively. Available data types include Exclusive Cume Reach. These data types can also be used to analyze people that watch one Channel but not another. For example, how many people watch MBC 1 but not Saudi TV 1. See the instructions below for how to create a simple duplication report.
In general, the purpose of the Duplication Report is to help the user understand their target audience:
- Who are they?
- Whom are they watching other than the selected channels, networks and spots?
- And how to get them to watch a certain channel, network or spot more often?
Thus, the Duplication Report provides the space to identify the current loyalty of the user’s target audience and inspires the user to think of methods to increase their target audience’s loyalty.
How to run a Duplication Report
- To open a new Duplication Report, click on New > eTAM > eTAM Duplication Report.
- Select your Media; You can select more than 3 channels or networks.
- Select your Period, Day Parts and Demographics, save each and name.
Select Period – In the Duplication Report, you can select more than one day.
Select Day Parts and Demographic. In this example, no Day Parts were selected as to reflect the whole day.
- Select Data Types. The default data type is Duplication Cume Reach.
- The next step is laying out the report. The items we place on the rows and the columns will determine what the report displays. In this example we want to know how many people watch MBC 1 and Saudi TV 1, as well as other combinations including Abu Dhabi TV and MBC 2. To do this we need Channels on both the rows and the columns. In Layout Assets, drag Channel onto the rows and then onto the columns.
- Drag Data Types on to the page header area of the report. This can be used to switch easily between different data types if you select more than one, or simply for display purposes if you only select one data type.
- Press Play to run your report. The results will show people who watched the Channel on the column AND the Channel on the row (where Duplication data types are selected).
For the data type, Duplication Cume Reach:
- To find the number of people who watch MBC 1 and Saudi TV 1, locate the results where these two Channels intersect (2,196,174 in this example).
- Note that where the same Channel is listed on the row and the column, the result is simply the result for that Channel on its own. In this example, the Cume Reach for MBC 1 is 9,050,194.
For the data type, Exclusive Cume Reach:
- To find the number of viewers who watched ABU DHABI TV but did not watch MBC 1, locate the results where these two Channels intersect (42,067 in this example). This number represents the viewers who watched ABU DHABI TV, MBC 2 and SAUDI TV 1 but not MBC 1.
- To find the number of viewers who watched ABU DHABI TV but did not watch MBC 2, locate the results where these two Channels intersect (95,600 in this example). This number represents the viewers who watched ABU DHABI TV, MBC 1 and SAUDI TV 1 but not MBC 2.
- To find the number of viewers who watched ABU DHABI TV but did not watch Saudi TV 1, locate the results where these two Channels intersect (122,518 in this example). This number represents the viewers who watched ABU DHABI TV, MBC 1 and MBC 2 but not SAUDI TV 1.
